The crushed cassava/potato powder is a fluid slurry that enters a centrifugal sieve and separates the starch from the fibers: it then passes through a fine residue sieve to remove the coarse fibers, leaving a coarse potato/cassava starch slurry.

After that, the rough potato/cassava starch slurry is pumped into the hydrocyclone unit using a screw pump to separate the protein and cellular fluid and the starch emulsion is removed from the protein and cellular fluid using the hydrocyclone unit, so that a clean potato/cassava starch emulsion can be obtained.

Finally, the starch emulsion was dehydrated into wet starch with about 40% moisture using a vacuum filter and then put into an airflow dryer for drying to obtain dry potato/cassava starch.
